Editor-in-Chief Search, The Anatomical Record
The Anatomical Record (AR) is one of three American Association for Anatomy (AAA) journals published by Wiley. The AR is a time-tested journal that has been continuously published since its first issue in 1906. The AR covers new discoveries in the morphological aspects of molecular, cellular, systems, and evolutionary biology. The Journal also focuses on major new findings in the anatomical consequences of gene disruption, activation, or over expression upon cell, tissue, or organ architecture and recognizes the importance of descriptive studies and “negative” studies in contemporary research, particularly when framed in the context of experimental models or questions.
AAA seeks a dynamic and visionary new Editor-in-Chief (EIC).
Application deadline extended to August 31, 2020.
The EIC will be appointed by the Board of Directors for a five-year period, renewable by mutual consent. The first term (2021-2026) will begin in January 2021 and will serve as a transition period with the current EIC. Candidates should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree(s) and prior experience in editorial activities related to the Journal’s focus. The EIC is responsible for selecting the Associate Editors, who comprise the Editorial Board with the EIC, and members of the Board of Reviewers. The EIC is also responsible for promoting the Journal and proposing future directions for its content.
The position comes with a generous editorial office support budget and a stipend for the EIC and Associate Editors.
